What Kind of Community Is This?

Story Stewards is designed to feel:

• Safe
• Christ-centered
• Calm and peaceful
• Encouraging and family-friendly
• Open for honest struggle and growth
• Focused on creativity and faith, not marketing

1. Christ-Centered and Family-Friendly

This is a family-safe Christian community.

The following are not allowed:

• Sexual content of any kind, including explicit scenes, graphic romance, sexual violence, or fetish content
• Profanity, coarse language, or vulgar speech
• Content inappropriate for young teens or families

If you would not share it in a church youth room, it does not belong here.

2. Respect and Safety

We treat one another with kindness and dignity.

• No harassment, bullying, shaming, or personal attacks
• Healthy disagreement is allowed. Disrespect is not.
• This is a space for encouragement, prayer, and growth

3. Photos

Photos are allowed only if they meet these standards:

• Directly related to the topic or space where they are posted
• Aligned with the overall Story Stewards culture and tone
• Not confusing or misleading to new members

Admins may remove images that do not match the community environment.

4. Videos

Videos are not allowed unless posted by the host or admin team.

Safety Policies

Age Requirements

Writers under age 13 are not permitted.

Members under 18 must have active parental involvement.

Because Story Stewards allows mixed ages, safety is our highest priority and all activity is moderated by admins.

Direct Messages

Direct messages between members are disabled.

Admins may occasionally message members for moderation purposes.

If you are under 18, do not respond to admin messages without parental permission.

Personal Contact Sharing

Private contact swapping is not permitted.

This includes:

• Email addresses
• Phone numbers
• Direct messaging requests
• Moving conversations off-platform

Sharing social handles in passing is allowed only when relevant to conversation. Example: mentioning where you publish your work.

Using the community to redirect members off-platform for private conversations or follower growth is not allowed.

Repeated behavior may result in removal.

Public Posting Only

Do not create posts that restrict who may view or comment.

You may tag someone, but you may not say "only this person should read or reply."

This keeps conversations transparent and safe.

File Sharing

File sharing is not allowed.

All content must remain on the platform.

External Links and Promotion

External links require approval from Justice or the admin team.

Approved links may be shared once every 30 days per member.

Story Stewards is not a marketing platform.

Allowed Examples

• Celebrating a book launch
• Sharing milestones such as first sale or reviews

Not Allowed

• Repeated promotional posts
• Weekly or daily sales reminders
• Link dropping
• Turning Story Stewards into a sales funnel

Share the way you would with friends, not like advertising to strangers.

Spam Policy

Ignoring link rules or repeated promotional behavior may result in post removal or loss of posting privileges.

Off-Topic Posting Guidelines

Most content should relate to writing, faith, prayer, or community life.

General posts are allowed in the Great Hall if they benefit the group.

Good examples:

• Holidays
• Books you read
• Travel insights
• Encouraging humor
• Community-related jokes

Not encouraged:

• Random unrelated humor
• Images that clash with community tone
• Showing off unrelated collections

Use discernment! Almost every post I have seen so far falls under these guidelines, so don't stress too much.

Writing Feedback Policy

Story Stewards is not primarily a beta reading platform.

You may request feedback under these rules:

• One chapter per post
• Maximum 3,000 words
• No posting multiple chapters in comments
• No spamming back-to-back chapters
• One chapter per week maximum

This protects quality discussion and moderation.

Writing Content Guidelines

To help keep our community a safe and uplifting space for everyone, especially our younger writers, please follow these content guidelines when posting your stories or snippets. In short, keep everything around a PG level so it's friendly for all ages.

Please Avoid Including:

• Spells or dark maggic (fantasy magic used for world-building is fine, but avoid witchcraft, curses, or occult elements).
• Graphic injuries or medical details (use your best judgment; if it might make someone queasy, tone it down).
• Romantic tension that goes too far. Light affection, such as hand-holding or a brief kiss, is fine, but please avoid detailed or suggestive moments.
• Themes meant for mature audiences, or topics that parents would want to handle privately with their children.

Content That Should Not Be Shared (even with a label):

• Demons or dark spiritual forces, unless it's a clearly biblical or symbolic representation.
• Profanity or discriminatory language of any kind.
• Abuse or explicit violence.
• Self-harm or suicide, including attempts or graphic references.
• Explicit romantic or private moments.
• Extreme or gory violence. If it feels "R-rated," it doesn't belong here.

A Few Notes:

• Healthy, wholesome romance and emotional depth are welcome. Just keep it kind, appropriate, and considerate of younger readers.
• When in doubt, label your post with a quick note like "mildly intense scene" or "light romance."

Memes

Memes are allowed only if they fit these categories:

1. Writing-related
2. Community or meta humor

Do not flood the feed with memes.

Off-topic memes will be removed.

Faith Alignment

Story Stewards is rooted in historic Christian belief.

Promotion of other religions or spiritual practices is not permitted.

Respectful Christian theological discussion and debate are allowed.

Respect for Admins

Admins serve to protect the safety and spiritual tone of the community.

Members are expected to treat admins with the same respect shown to Justice.

Admin Discretion

Admins reserve the right to remove content or members that do not align with the mission, safety, or values of Story Stewards.
